ctrl-page up/down to advance to the next tab. ctrl-t to open a new tab. ctrl-w to close out a tab.

I'm using IE7 now, with a bunch of tabs open, and the only difference in my browsing experience is that the row of little boxes is at the top of the window rather than the bottom of the screen. The amount of memory being used seems to be the same, whether it's x number of windows or x number of tabs. It just doesn't seem to be worth the hoopla... :shrug:

It's there, it does everything I need, and I haven't had any problems or unmet requirements that would be satisfied by any other browser. I use Netscape in the office, purely out of habit, and I'd say the same thing about it. If FF is a brazillion times better for you, then cool, but the browser wars kind of just leave me scratching my head...
