7. Well, I'm an old hand at this.
They'll start you off at a leisurely walk. By the time you're done, you'll be running. Here's a tip; Ask them up front if they have any questions, because they'll be asking you questions while you're running! (They just want to see if you're out of breath). Just think of it as a very short workout. Most of the time, they find nothing wrong. You'll be wondering why you were nervous at all. Actually, the hardest part is trying to get the sticky stuff off afterward. (Save yourself alot of time and scrubbing and use a cottonball with nail polish remover). And let us know how it went!

8. Nothing to worry about
I don't know whether you're having the treadmill stress test
or the nuclear medicine stress test, but either way, there's
nothing to worry about. Both exams use a treadmill or
stationary bicycle, but the nuclear medicine stress test
requires an injection of Cardiolite or Thallium, and the SPECT
(single photon emission computed tomography) scan gives the
cardiologist more diagnostic information. But your doctor
probably told you this already.

If you want to know more about the tests, there are plenty of
resources. The American Heart Association's Web site is a
good place to start.

Best wishes.
