My name is MissHoneychurch, I am a member since January 2005. I am mainly posting in the Lounge but also in the Photography Group. But I do read GD, GDP and LBN as well.

It was fun for me to meet a bunch of DUers in September last year. I enjoy that I made new friends. It helps me through the work day when it is boring here.

1. My name is ikojo and I joined in 2001.

I used to read the DU on my PDA via Avantgo but I guess that got too expensive for DU due to bandwidth so it was discontinued. I was hooked so I came over to the real website.

I primarily live in the Lounge but do venture over to the other neighborhoods, GD, KOEB, and Breaking News.

I met some DUers at the Hawk and Dove last Friday and that was great. A bunch of folks obsessed with politics like me.

He goes to all kinds of animals and objects and asks, "Are you my mother?" But when he got to the steam shovel (that's what they called it in the book), and asked, the big machine only replied, "Snort!" So the baby bird thought that was its name. When we lived in FL, there was a lot of construction on one of the roads, so we took him for rides to see all the snorts. We still call them that!

I've been on DU for two months now, and I'm hooked. I post mainly in the Lounge, but I can be seen in GD and LBN. I haven't really been here long enough to check everything out. I'm one of those jump in with both feet kind of person.

We were going to go to DC to meet DUers(my husband has been here for 3 years) but couldn't really afford it. Hopefully, one day we can get to a meetup and put some faces with names.

10. In my own defense...

Most of those are in the Mike Malloy TruthSeeker threads. Lots of "his" and "how are yous". It's not hard to rack them up fast when you do that 5 nights a week for two months. If I wasn't listening to Mike and commenting in that thread, I would probably have 200 posts or so.

I have also gotten into many a silly-off with Heidi and Oeditpus Rex. I'll do almost anything for a laugh.

46. I was a daily lurker for years

I found DU the day after they stole the election in 2004. I followed all of the election fraud threads. I don't think there have been many days since then that I haven't come a lurking. During the mid-terms I worked at our county HQ's with a fellow DUer that couldn't believe that I visit every day, but was not a member. Two days before the election she signed me up...she was worried I'd be locked out with the high traffic.

I discovered the lounge soon after I joined in November. I still go into GD, LBN, and GDP...and will post on a thread that I feel I have a meaningful opinion on, but I do love the lounge and most of my posting is done here.

This is my perspective -- the serious forums (GD, LBN, GDP) are like a political committee meeting -- very important, relevant, and for the most part serious. The lounge is like going out for a drink with your fellow committee people after the meeting. For me the lounge is the great balancer.

I joined up in Sept. '05, after lurking for over a year. I don't know what took me so damn long to join up, but I'm so glad I finally did! I've made a lot of friends here. It's been great.

I tend mostly post in here, the Astro/Spirituality, and the Bicycling forums. But I also tend to lurk in LN, GD and GD.

I am married, with two kids (ages 10 and 13). I am mostly a stay-at-home mom, but I also volunteer quite a bit with our local Hospice, both as a Volunteer Visitor and as well with their Speakers Bureau.

I give thanks everyday for my life's many blessings and I hope to give back in the same way I am blessed.
