HaHa.. Some idiot just stole my bike.
I got it for 30$ at a garage sale a few years ago.. I'm not really upset about it. It was a rusty old Magna. The front brakes didn't work anymore. And this is the best part. I never got around to reattaching the back ones after I changed out the tube a few days ago. And I live on a hill. I kinda feel sorry for the person that took it.

1. I bought a new bike once, took sandpaper and nasty paint to it right away
made it look like a poorly repainted old bike. No one ever stole it. Thank you local bike salesperson for the advice. Good luck to your bike snitcher.

2. Now I have something to do in morning.
Looking for a new bike is way better than yard work. Shitty part is I have to walk to the store for beer.

5. Cost doesn't matter ...
... it still sucks having a bike stolen. Besides, it's not what that one was worth - it's what the replacement is gonna cost you.

I like all those ideas about slapping a shitty paint job on a nice bike. Junk yard camo. It might work.

6. It's funny to an extent.
The other side of it just makes me angry. I understand that people want for things that others have, but I do not understand the temptation to steal something from someone else. Maybe I was raised better or I just know how to control myself, but after having many things stolen from me in my life it just pisses me off. And the sad thing is I'm so nice that if someone asked me for something of mine that they wanted, I would most likely give it to them. At least then I would know that I gave someone something that they like and will enjoy versus feeling like shit because someone violated my stuff.

7. Someone stole my stool specimen once
I was having GI problems in college and had to collect a stool sample in a cup, which I transported to the lab in a brown paper bag on the bus. (I had no car or bike.) At one of the stops, this scruffy-looking dude sitting next to me grabbed the bag and ran off the bus!

I was pretty ticked at the time, because it was a pain in the ass (pun intended) to collect the first time, and I would just have to do it again. But when I got to the lab we all had a good laugh.
