1. Yes, but nothing current. I read/enjoy/collect Silver and Golden Age romances.

6. When I was a girl visiting my grandmother, we kids used to pull out a box of old comics
that had belonged to my dad, my uncle, and my aunt. My aunt had had lots of Archie, Wilbur, Katy Keene, Millie the Model, and romance comics that I loved to read. I don't know what happened to the comics after my grandmother passed away, but I assume my aunt rescued them and they are in her possession. I started collecting romance comics as a way of bringing back that warm and comforting feeling of being at Gramma's house. I actually have copies of some of the same issues I read back then.

BTW, the box also contained all manner of superhero comics, plus Lone Ranger and other western comics, Little Lulu, and others I'm forgetting.

8. That's awesome.
I was heavily into comics when I was younger, and I've started to read them again, even though I'm passed the point where people might start to think it "juvenile". I was a huge X-Men fan.

9. I LOVE the Love & Rockets comics
Edited on Sat Feb-03-07 12:59 PM by dropkickpa
I've always thought I was a cross between Hopey and Maggie (more Hopey than Maggie).

Los Bros. Hernandez are a very talented family!!

I'm lucky in that my older brothers were into all the alternative things, so I got influenced and exposed to them from a pretty early age. I started reading my brothers L&R comics when I was about 10 years old.

*edited to add - All of my L&R stuff got stolen when I was couch surfing in '95, but my local library actually has most of the L&R books, so I can get my L&R fix when needed

10. Every week my wife & I spend between $25-100.00
on comics. mostly indies. we have both been reading comics since childhood. I'll be 50 this year and it's rude to ask a woman of a certain age's age.
We also still watch cartoons on saturday morning when we can find something good.
Some of the finest fiction these days is found in comics. Rex Mundi, anything by Garth Ennis or Neil Gaimen. There are litterally hundreds of fine comics out there.

12. Do I now, or have I ever?
While I am perfectly willing to discuss my own activites with the Committee, I categorically refuse to discuss the activities of others... :)

Yes, my bookshelves are buckling under the weight of graphic novels. My tastes are mildly eclectic; I just picked up DC's epic three-volume reprint of Neal Adams' Batman stories and Daniel Clowes' David Boring and I'm excited about both.

Usually Superman, Batman, GL, JLA....and Wolverine comics...

Nowaday's I'm a huge fan of graphic novels...I hate only reading half a story, so I usually wait for the graphic to hit the shelves....:D My favorite graphic,
