My Laptop Compooter
keeps frying out wireless adapters

I'm thinking of throwing the damned thing off a 6 story building and getting a new one.

I'm trying to be rational though. It is an HP notebook. I've been using Cisco systems Linksys wireless G adapter. I've now fried 3 of them.

and two other ones that were another brand before that.

It works great for a while, then it stops recognizing the hardware? Then it just quits working period.

I've uninstalled and re installed the software several times.

I've disabled, enabled, and so forth the wireless g adapter.

I'm thinking that the USB port is toast.

but other things work in it just fine so that can't be it.

I'm stumped

I'm now on the older Mac that takes forever to load shit.
