I put on some body lotion this morning, and it made my skin burn...
:yoiks: I'm normally not allergic to anything, but I'd had some OPI Vanilla Spice body lotion for a while and was trying to use it up. It was an unopened bottle. However, this stuff has clove in it, and my skin turned beet red and burned for about twenty minutes afterward. :yoiks: I have tried several other lotion scents from OPI and never had any problems with them. It's gotta be the clove. :(

Note to self: Throw this shit away when you get home! :(

1. I'm glad the burning stopped.
Please remember to throw it away when you get home. You'd hate to find it in a few months and say "Hmmm, what's this?"

2. yikes
as soon as I read 'vanilla spice' I knew it was the second part of the equation that was the problem. I've never heard of cloves in lotion, I wonder if that is common? I love vanilla scented anything, though.

5. I don't think it's really common...
But it is definitely in that lotion. It smells nice, but I'm not keeping it... :yoiks:

3. It's the clove for sure.
And, if you do have a sensitivity towards clove, it's a killer!

7. Yes indeed...
I normally don't have a problem with allergies of any kind, but I'm staying the heck away from cloves...:yoiks:

8. I guess maybe aversion therapy?
 My husband is amazed at how many body lotions I have anyway, so I guess it's a non-subtle hint to stay away from them....:P
