Which on-line company did you have the hardest time canceling your subscription with?
I thought AOL was the pinnacle, but I now feel they have been replaced by classmates.com. I don't know why I signed up with classmates.com. I hated high school and everyone there. In fact I don't even remember the people that post there from my class. I have written twice now with no response and finding out how to cancel was abominable. Anyone else out there with some sage advice about where not to subscribe to?

1. e-Harmony
I never signed up for them either, but couldn't get rid of them. And I think they were responsible for all the X-rated spam I was getting for awhile.

For some unknown reason, they finally disappeared and so did the spam.

3. I was a customer many many moons ago....
and I ordered a lot of stuff from them. I would receive a card in the mail and they would *only* send me stuff if I ordered it. I fulfilled my agreement very quickly since I placed orders with them on a regular basis. When I stopped ordering for a few months, they somehow changed the program to send me stuff that I would have to return if I *didn't* want it, and it was crappy stuff. I jumped through all kinds of hoops to get off the list. They changed me back to the card program.

Finally, there was some sort of class action lawsuit against them and they had to send out FREE cds. I returned the card for a free cd and never got anything. I contacted them a few times and miraculously I was no longer a member. They had no record of me, LOL!
