I've been a single dad all week... so, I could use a bit of support.

26. being a single parent is maddening. my mom had to leave for an emergency trip to india

and my stepdad, my ex gf and i were stuck with a 5 year old. it was a major hassle. i will always be grateful to my ex for being such a good caretaker of my baby brother.

I've learned I have dysplasia which could
be malignant. I've already survived stage IV
ovarian cancer and a few years ago,
septecemia from a perforated stomach ulcer.
I'm not sure I could go through the treatments

because I'm lucky in a million ways and there are many needs greater than mine, but it's been a very rough day. The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger disappeared for eight hours, and I finally found him about a quarter of a mile from our house. He had somehow fallen into the community's seven-foot-high semi-trailer that's used for village compost. It was empty, and he'd been in there for hours and because the sides are straight, rather than slanted, he couldn't get himself out and apparently had been in there from 4 to 11 a.m. I'm so relieved to have found him, and with the help of two farmer neighbors (I'll love them forever), pried the rusty trailers open to free him. I was so relieved that I was :puke:
