Did anybody here have imaginary friend(s) as a kid?

4. I drew a stick man and called him Londrorro (don't ask.) In my mind, he lived somewhere else.

But "being" right there next to me? No.

I'd draw cartoon adventures of him. Kinda like an everyman character. Roughly from the ages 5 to 7.

5. Yes, I did

I had two bear friends named Bear and Buffin. I don't remember when they came into my life but it was when I was quite small. I also don't recall if I could "see" them though it seems I did. They lived in a little strip of woods near our house and it gave my mother the creeps to have me go out there because there were rattlesnakes living among the loose stones.

They came with me when we moved when I was six, came along when we moved again when I was 7 and came with me when we moved when I was 8. However, it wasn't long after that they drifted away, and it seems to me that they weren't terribly happy there and wanted to go back to their original home.

They came to visit once in a while but I haven't seen or heard from them since I was about 10.


My middle daughter had invisible friends as well, three birds named Chirpy, Hardy and Lovey. They stuck around until she was about 9 or 10, too.

7. I did, but no one in particular

I just imagined someone else enjoying what I was doing at the time. I grew up around a lot of kids, so I didn't need an imaginary friend much.
