I dreamt that my top rightmost molar was irritating me so i wiggled it with my tongue...
and eventually it came out with a large chunk of flesh attached. There was plenty of bleeding too. When I showed it to my friends they freaked out. I've had quite a few dreams where I lose teeth. So what does this mean?

1. It means you subconsiously realize you have poor dental hygine
Invest in an electric toothbrush, and be sure to brush above the gumline.

3. I have one, but I don't use it much.
I've never had a cavity. Is it just a matter of time?

2. I had dental dreams when I was having my crowns put on my teeth.
You had a really bad dream.

In my dreams my teeth would fall out after I got home from Dentist.

I would wake up in a sweat.

4. I had those too, years ago.
To be frank, I agree with Ann Faraday that you should always look for a practical explanation first. She tells a funny story about her Freudian analyst interpreting a dream she (Faraday) had had about losing a tooth. The analyst saw it as a penis-and-castration fantasy. A couple of days later one of the caps came off Faraday's tooth, necessitating a trip to the dentist.

So don't overlook the possibility of a subtle message to take better care of your teeth.

To answer your question, though, there are various interpretations, such as the desire to return to babyhood (i.e., a time before teeth) to fear of loss, etc. Really, you might need to decide what each symbol in your dream means for you.

Do read Ann Faraday's The Dream Game, if you can find it. It's a very eclectic approach to dream interpretation and covers several schools of thought. She firmly believes that no one can impose an interpretation of a dream on you; you have to find the answer yourself. But her examples and anecdotes are useful, especially the section on visual puns.

5. I have the dream about losing teeth very regularly.
There is that one, and the one where I lose the use of my legs suddenly, while walking. Here's something about losing teeth that makes sense: http://www.mythsdreamssymbols.com/dsteeth.html

6. Dreams about losing teeth
mean that you feel powerless/impotent, or are afraid of becoming powerless/impotent.

Well, that's what I read once.

12. I get those quite often and they are damn disturbing...
Thank God I do have good teeth but due to being on Medicare/Medicaid I can't find a decent dentist.

I do need to whiten my teeth up as it has yellowed up by the gumline and usually I am in a rush to get somewheres that I quickly brush my teeth.

Has anyone tried that Listerine Whitening Wash? Is it good?

16. Listerine wash -
I use that. I don't know if it's good for whitening or not --- I got it because it helps get under the gumline and between the teeth - it has hydrogen peroxide in it so it helps bubble stuff away.
