Why do people reply to a thread with "Who Cares?"
I have never understod that. Or they reply to a thread and say: "You should be worrying about something important.... like the war in Iraq."

Like we all can only function by doing one thing at one time. :)

What I'm curious about is, if the thread's topic was so unimportant, so absolutely beneath them, then why the hell would they choose to click on it in the first place? Let alone take the time to make a comment?

Oh well, who cares. :)

1. My pet peeve are those who come into threads to defecate on them.
For example, I post that I like something and ask others who like it to discuss it. Maybe someone who doesn't know about it will come to like it. Invariably, someone will come in and take a big, steaming dump on the thread. If someone posts something you don't like, avoid the thread and just move on to the next one.

4. yeah, I have never gotten that one
I was wonder why the hell they decided to jump on the thread in the first place. It is a pet peeve of mine too. Or the "This should be in the Lounge" or "The is not LBN" type remarks. Dude, let the mods decide!

Seriously, all they have to do is stay away, I don't click on threads that I have no interest in. :)

6. lol!
It's horrible, I agree. What's the point, really, of being nasty? I stay in the Lounge just because I want to be with friends / make friends, not belittle someone or be snarked at, or told I'm an idiot.

14. I hate those self righteous "You should be worrying about something important" assholes.
Edited on Thu Feb-08-07 10:21 PM by LostInAnomie
It's like the only reason they join in on a thread is to show their moral superiority and throw indignation around.

A couple weeks ago, there was a thread about some teenagers being arrested for burning a puppy to death in an oven. While most people voiced their disgust at the act and the teenagers, there were a handful of morans that felt that our pity for the puppy for some reason meant that we were indifferent to the deaths of innocent Iraqi children. :eyes:

Some people are too stupid to be DUers.

19. We've seen that the past few days.
Look, some people thought it was just a stupid candy bar commercial. Or they didn't like Anna Nicole Smith and wondered what the big deal was upon the news of her death.

But spare me the "god, why is so much time being spent talking about this trivial stuff" bullshit. The hide thread feature works perfectly fine.

about the subject of the thread.

Really. They'd never say that to a person IRL in a zillion years. So why do it on the internet?

I wouldn't say that to anyone but I thought I would try to make light around here as it has been deadly serious lately.

edited to clarify that I was teasing you about a serious subject.
