A girl at work got a death threat.
She got an email that said "Death threat for (Insert name)."
She opened it up and it said, "Just kidding! I wanted to get your attention."

He won't think it's so funny when the cops arrest him later today. I work in radio and you just can't brush shit like that off.

4. Does she know the guy??
I'll admit I've sent weird emails to my friends, including things not dissimilar to that...but it's exactly that...they're my close friends. My former roomie (he's an e-activism coordinator for a large, noteworthy and controversial NPO and gets real threats constantly) knows that I'm not going to kill him.

I have the good sense to not send comically-hostile emails to acquaintances or strangers. I thought that was common sense.

6. Yeah, I'd be calling the cops too.
"Just Kidding" sometimes means "not really kidding", I wouldn't take the chance.

7. What a dumbass! If I were to try something similar it would be like this...
Nude pictures of (insert famous actor/actress here), for (recipient).

Then it would say "Just kidding! I wanted to get your attention."

Some folks just are fucked up in the head to think shit like this is funny.
