SpongeBob Square Pants
Lovable, gentle soul or loonier than a shithouse rat? For the record, I find SpongeBob to be a very entertaining cartoon. It's quite funny really. I only found it because most of what passes for adult TV fare is so wretched........... :)

3. I've just started watching
literally, about a week or so ago. I love Squidward and Mr. Crabbs? Again, the whole thing is very funny. Did you see the one about mad snails?

4. It's an excellent cartoon for kids and adults.
One of the quirks about that show is how Spongebob is completely unable to pass the boater test, so he can get his license. That's one of the comical little twists that add to its overall charm. Oh, and the fact that Mr. Krab's daughter is a whale - that slays me too!

8. Yes, the
boat test episode was great. :)
The typical teenage daughter, she's perfect for the show!

5. It's actually pretty good.
And occasionally a tad subversive. I haven't seen many episodes though.

I like the one where the diner place they eat at is sold to some big corporation that starts pumping out this awful mass produced food.

10. I like SpongeBob also.
I think that Gary is cool. Patrick needs ritalin and Squidward needs a woman/man. Mr. Krabbs and Plankton need to just get it done and over with.

12. My whole family has loved it for years....
Sometimes when we have dinner guests who aren't familiar with Spongebob, we put on an episode (or two) for them. We've made some converts. And, yes, it's wonderfully subversive.

Our kids like Squidward (probably reminds them of their parents). I'm partial to Spongebob, Sandy and Gary.
