For Anna ... my last post on her with love.
I for one LOVE Anna Nicole Smith. Why? Well I guess I'm drawn to the whole "famous for being famous" thang. BUT I can smell bull shit 100 miles away and people like Parsite Hilton are too transparent. Anna Nicole had something about her that I loved. Regardless of what was written about her .... she was nice. She was a nice lady. From her Guess Jeans ads there was just something about her that caught my eye.

What really moved me over to "Team Anna" was the first time I saw her in person. It was Gay Pride 2002 in Los Angeles. She was in the parade ... was she heavy??? ... yup ... but who the fuck cared ... she was beautiful and WORKING IT!.

After that she had her crazy ass show on E!. Fucked up? Oh yeah. But some how she made me fall more in love with her. Why? Because I could see her as a person. She would act all crazy and shit .. but there was a wink in her eye that said .... "O ... fuck it. This is what they want to see ... I'll give it to them".

In 2005 she was again at the LA Pride parade. Thinner and just as happy and fun as before. To compare to (and I missed seeing the bitch) ..... Paris Hilton paid off the organizers of the parade and "blessed" us by being one of the Grand Marshall's ... fucking whore. She had security all around her ass. (this was told to me by this guy that purchased a Carl's Jr. burger that he wanted to throw at her .... I went on a pee-pee break when she slithered by) Anna rode in a car without any security and took in the love that the crowd gave her.

She later served as a bartender at Hamberger Mary's for charity. I wasn't there, but another DU'er said she was wonderful. Friendly and sweet and had a great time.

This is why I love Anna Nicole Smith and will always love her.

1. It is tragic she died so young
I feel badly for her family. I don't think she was a bad person at all.

4. I am also really saddened by her death
She was a victim to many many people in life- yet she continued to try her best to be giving to others.
People who make fun of her have little empathy for humanity. She tried as hard as she could.

And thank you for your memories of Anna Nicole Smith. When a celebrity dies, some people are saddened because of a personal connection that they may have had with that celebrity.

This is a nice tribute, Ronny. Thanks.

7. I thought she was hilarious...
I liked her a lot...And I got shit in another thread for saying I thought someone murdered her. I still don't understand that one. She was real, and she had real problems, and that is what drew millions of people to her. I hope she finally finds some peace now. Let the woman rest in peace.

11. To me she was someone who just wanted to be happy ...
Edited on Sun Feb-11-07 12:41 PM by CarolinaPeridot
and I think that is what everyone really wants in life - don't you? I do too. I fight for it everyday. There are so many theories out there as to what attributed to her death - we may never know. I have become jaded by the news so I won't really believe anything that they report these days. I think its sad that a baby is left behind without a mother and a brother who I know if still alive would love, protect and care for her very much. But right now its all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ - I saw on the news today that the house in the Bahamas was broken into. Her daughter needs to be protected and brought up with love and protection - but everyone else is thinking about what they want. If Howard K. Stern is not the father then he needs to give up his rights and let the baby be raised by her father. All of this is a shame ... All I have read on other internet sites are messages of shock and positive messages for her. But sadly there are some people who are calling her every name in the book. We don't know what was going through her head during her last days. As a person who has gone through depression myself and if she was depressed my heart goes out to her because I know what it feels like. I just hope she has her peace on the other side.

And I remember the Guess ads that she was in. People constantly put her down because they thought she was from the wrong side of the tracks - but what are the right side of the tracks ? You can grow up in a mansion on a country club but that mansion may not be a happy home. She could have easily stayed in Texas and struggled raising her child, but she struck it gold and she went to Hollywood and became famous. Secretly I think thats what we all want - to leave our small towns and go to Hollywood. She did it - and I think people envy that.

I honestly think that if I were to have went up to her and asked her for a hug, she would have given me one - and not many people in the world would do that.

I hope you get many hugs in heaven Vicki, you deserve them

12. Amen.
I've seen these clips of her on TV this week and I just wish I could hug her. And you're right she was the type of person that would hug you right back.

RIP Vicky Lynn.

people envy but also admire

she didn't succumb to the insecurities that would have held her in that town forever

she chased her dream

14. Very nice tribute to her Ronny
I didn't follow Anna's life or anything, but I didn't have anything against her. Most of the times I saw her I felt sad for her because she really seemed to be a troubled person somehow and anytime I see that in a person it hurts me.

Seeing posts like yours and others here the last few days, I see that she meant a lot to a lot of people and she seemed to be a caring and sweet person. To you and others here who are saddened by her passing, I send my sincere thoughts of sympathy. She was a human being and deserved to have a bit of respect in her passing that some here tried to deny to her.

Take care my friend.

15. No matter what anyone says
When she loved someone, she loved them with all her heart, and I am including Pierce Marshall in that, anyone seeing the look in her eyes when she would look at him could tell she truly cared deeply for him. She was a very genuine person, she never tried hide who she was.

I just saw an interview she did fairly recently after the death of her son, and it was extraordinarily painful to watch someone who was hurting so badly. I started crying right along wih her.

She spoke up for a lot of good causes, but those things never made headlines.

17. Thank you, Ronny. I've been fuming all morning.
I was watching This Week on ABC, and was stunned to see her (deliberately) not included in their "In Memoriam" segment. They included Frankie Laine, but no Anna Nicole. Hell, they even included Saddam after his execution, but couldn't bring themselves to note her passing.

20. That's very nice of you to say that about her. I've avoided any threads about her,
because I don't know in general, nor care in specific, about most celebrities, because I don't watch television.

But I'll mourn the death of anyone, whether I know anything abut them or not. And I understand that she had a young baby, and no baby should have to grow up without her Mom.

You had some solid reasons to like her, you did. She was more of a real person in your eyes than she was in the eyes of many others, so I share your sorrow.

It's good that you personalized someone whom so many have vilified. I hope those who could not understand that anyone's life is precious, and not to be mocked upon its passing, will read and understand your post.

Redstone
