My cat is snoring
I was sitting here surfing DU and I heard a funny noise like air escaping from an inflatable swimming pool - had me stumped for several moments as I looked around for a leak (I don't have an inflatable swimming pool or anything else inflatable in the room).

Finally realized it's the cat.

1. Same phenomenon here
I'm listening to similar sound. Curled up nearby with front paws crossed under chin is cat catching some ZZZs. I believe I may have the cat who put the cat in catatonic.:)

3. Momma cat does the same thing
The bad part is my wife won't let her or me snore for that matter. She lays on my lap and sleeps. when she starts snoring she'll reach over and wake her up, I leave her alone and let her snore she's seventeen years old and won't be around much longer so, she can snore if she wants to.

4. I used to have a female Boxer who snored
All my Boxers snored to one extent or another but Zena snored with utter abandon - mouth open, head flung back, completely relaxed and LOUD.

I wouldn't have dreamed of waking her up - she was in bliss. :)

5. Everybody in this house snores.
 Yours truly included. Sometimes it's hard to tell who's actually snoring at a given time. Sometimes, we can tell which cat by the tone: Caesar buzzes softly - Socrates gronks. Evie wheezes. Imhotep burbles. Plato snorts. Neutrino chirps. Quark mumbles.
