Goldfinger: Obtuse, campy, and overrated. It's got style, but its sheer lack of depth and risible cartoon elements set a new standard... it's the one we love for its style... Or the one we love to hate because of the garbage that emulates it, either in style or plot. Indeed, Auric Goldfinger loves gold for its color and texture... So what does he want to do? Why, nuke Fort Knox so its gold will turn black and icky! Mr. Goldfinger is so bonkers for gold's appearance (not its value, its appearance - he even says as much!), that a more realistic plan for him would be for him to hire a photographer to go and take pictures of Fort Knox's gold so he could use it as a substitute for "Playboy" magazine...
