My daughter turned 13 today.
 :woohoo:  :woohoo:  :woohoo:

We survived the slumber party and now it's time to relax. Until the official teen angst starts, that is.

2. If she's anything like me and my sister
she will still be lovely until she hits about 15 or so. That's when all hell will break loose. Good luck! Maybe she will be lovely forever. I bet she will be in your eyes even if she goes through some rough stuff. :)

7. Okay, 17 is scarier than 13.
Good luck! I hope she passes (or doesn't--whatever you prefer). ;)

6. A very Happy Birthday to your daughter!
 (And for what it's worth, I went through my worst phase around age 12...so maybe she's already over it?) At any rate, good luck to both of you - I'm sure you'll get through the teen years just fine. (Hey, if my family survived ME, anything's possible! :P)

and I don't think I'm lucky enough for the worst to be behind us. She's a really good kid. I'm just hoping she keeps it up. Thanks!

11. Happy Birthday to her!
And consider yourself lucky if the angst hasn't begun yet.

My mother always used to say thirteen isn't an age, it's a state of mind. ;)
