Does your life have "theme nights?"
I didn't plan this, but it looks like Mondays are shaping up to be "Old Lady Night."

For instance, tonight I:

Made a casserole

Am watching Antiques Roadshow

Will work on knitting a Draft Fighting Door Snake

Will drink single malt while knitting (ok, maybe that's just the old ladies I know, but I wouldn't bet on it.)

And that's what I do pretty much every Monday, though the dinner and knitting projects change. So, it's officially a Theme Night as far as I'm concerned.

And you?

1. Not as such, but we often have chain movies
The second movie has to have at least one actor from the first movie, and so on. It's a lame way to pick movies, but hey. :P

3. Oh come on, that's not lame. It's fun.
If you have a cold weekend day to kill, you just might end up with a Murr-A-Thon (featuring, of course, Bill Murray movies).

22. It does provide for some interesting juxtapositions
For example, we recently watched The Saint, followed by Batman Begins, because Rade Serbedzija is in both. Or Pirates of the Caribbean and Domino (Keira Knightley).

The fun starts on rainy weekends when we have 5 or 6 chain movies in a single day. It can get pretty trippy. :D

6. Saturday night.
We make Martinis or Manhattans, play Big Band music and cook up something nice. If the weather is warm we'll sit on the patio with more drinks and music and just stare at the sky.

We're boring... and happily so! :hi:

10. That sounds like a nice way to spend a night.
Seems like you could think up a name for it, but it's probably nicer to just let it be what it is.

15. "Mama's Drinkin', There's Cereal in the Cupboard Night"
Call it that just once. Please. It would be hilarious. (To me anyway).

Edited on Mon Feb-12-07 08:51 PM by Strawman
Every Monday. All the stuff I said I was gonna get done over the weekend remains unfinished.

And now I'm farting around on DU instead of writing my paper that's due Wednesday.

19. Sure! I have theme weeks/weekends, even. There was one I called "The Ronaissance."
I rented all of Ron Livingston's movies and watched them in three days. Which, quite frankly, rocked.

21. Yes.
Fridays are officially "Family Night", where the hubby comes home early enough to actually join us for dinner and we all hang out with the kids, usually watching a movie, but sometimes we play games.

Saturdays are "Date Night", the sitter hangs with the kids and the hubby and I get some much-needed quality alone time.

:D
