new incredible ways of doing something like playing guitar.
I've seen him live before. It was completely unreal! His playing is so unique because of the way he learned to play the guitar. I've tried to goof around playing like that, it's really hard...

5. Isn't it?
I would love to see him play live. I became a fan after seeing him in Roadhouse. Angel Eyes is still one of my favorite songs.

7. Yes
I posted above I became a fan after seeing him in Roadhouse.

I read he recently had more surgery for cancer. :(

Last month he had seven cancerous growths removed from his lungs. About a year ago he had two removed from his legs. And of course cancer is also the reason he lost his eyes at age one.

I hope he beats it. He posted on his website that his Dr. said surgery was a success & he himself is confident that he can "nip it in the bud" if cancer reappears. I admire his strength as much as his talent. :toast:

8. Oh I Missed That

I didn't read that

but I hope he beats it too.

Must be a real chronic kind of cancer, or he's had different kinds?

:toast: here's to him beating cancer and to his special talent!

:toast: to Nicole for posting this!

9. I'm not sure
what kind he has. Or if he has had more than one type.

I just know he's had way more than his share. :(

13. Goddammit!!!!
Why does it always happen this way?! I listened to Jeff Healey and his band for years. "See the Light" and the cover version of Jerry Rafferty's "Stuck in the Middle with You" are among my favorites.
It always seems that the best talent gets taken away from us. Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rory Gallagher, John Lennon, and George Harrison-all gone. What do we get stuck with? Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears! Give the record companies time, they'll have Paris Hilton cut a f_____g record.

To get hit with cancer if the eye at one year of age, and get hit with it again later might be indicative of genetic predisposition.

I really hope he beats it. I would hate to loose another great talent.

14. Sad isn't it?
I hope he beats it too.

I agree that we lose the best ones too soon.

I hate to break it to you but.....Paris Hilton has already released her first album. Last summer. :puke:

18. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
There is no accounting for taste. The fact that Paris Hilton is famous at all is proof of that.

16. "See The Light" is a great album
He absolutely rips stinging solo after solo on that record; wow!

He's pretty much a Jazz guy now, and that sounds great, too..

I think his first love was Jazz. I've listened to his Jazz show online a few times on Monday nights.
