You ain't seen nothing, yet! I bet everyone is getting sick of seeing

all the pictures of snaow fall here in Oswego COunty. We've had about 6-10 feet of snow over the last week. The roads are all clean and dry back past the shoulders and my husband has shoveled off the roofs on oour house, barn and sheds. Look at what's coming tonight:

A HEAVY SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 PM EST WEDNESDAY.

SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD CENTRAL NEW YORK THIS EVENING. THE SNOW WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AND THROUGH MOST OF WEDNESDAY...BEFORE TAPERING OFF TO SNOW SHOWERS LATER IN THE DAY. BY THE TIME THE SNOW ENDS WEDNESDAY NIGHT...SNOWFALL TOTALS WILL BE IN THE 10 TO 18 INCHES WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS NEAR 2 FEET.

UNLIKE RECENT EVENTS...THIS STORM WILL NOT BE A LAKE EFFECT BUT WILL BE A LARGER SCALE SYSTEM...THE FIRST SIGNIFICANT ONE OF THE WINTER SEASON. THE CONSISTENCY OF THE SNOW WILL BE A BIT HEAVIER THAN DURING ALL THE RECENT LAKE EFFECT EVENTS...SO HOMEOWNERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE RISK OF ADDED LOADING ON ROOFS... ESPECIALLY ACROSS OSWEGO AND SOUTHERN LEWIS COUNTIES WHICH HAVE RECEIVED SUCH HUGE SNOW AMOUNTS OF LATE. TAKE PRECAUTIONS.

SNOW WILL BEGIN LATE TUESDAY EVENING... AND CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY... ENDING WEDNESDAY EVENING. HOWEVER... SOME SNOW SHOWER ACTIVITY WITH ADDITIONAL LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY NIGHT. MOST LOCATIONS WILL RECEIVE A FOOT OR MORE OF SNOW BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT...WITH MANY AREAS LIKELY GETTING 18 TO 36 INCHES... ESPECIALLY FROM THE GREATER CAPITAL REGION NORTH AND WEST...

2. We actually mentioned you all in prayer Sunday

and I've heard lots of conversation about it. We can't imagine how you handle it all.

3. I tell people we go through 6 weeks of hell everywinter and then

live in Paradise the rest of the time! Actually, given the way the roads get cleared so promptly and completely, and given the way everyone helps out, it's more like six weeks of heck! I got stuck in a snow bank one time, and about 10 strangers stopped to check up on me before the tow truck got there!
