Are we beginning another cycle of hope?
Edited on Tue Feb-13-07 05:19 PM by Taverner
Last cycle of hope was the early 90's.

The Berlin Wall fell
The USSR Dissolved
Clinton won, and started making good changes
There was peace in Northern Ireland
There were peace talks in Israel/Palestine
The economy boomed and even bad neighborhoods were getting a new lease on life

Then bad bad things happened

Newt declared a contract on America and won
Rabin was assassinated
Putin won and brought back that KGB love
Bushie* was appointed Pres
Israel/Palestine turned into a bloody mess. And just when we thought it couldn't get any bloodier, it did.

So, with the Dems in power, is a new cycle of hope upon us?
