Michelle Duggar is pregnant with #17! (todays distraction)
http://www.bloggingbaby.com/2007/02/06/exclusive-michelle-duggar-is-pregnant
I recently wrote about a rumor going around online that Michelle Duggar, of the "Duggar Family" fame, is pregnant. For those of you who aren't up to date on the happenings on TLC, the Duggars are a family that lives in Arkansas and has 16 children.

Michelle and her husband Jim Bob have said in the past that they viewed children as a blessing and, as long as Michelle was willing, they would have more.

I sent an email to Jim Bob Duggar, who graciously replied. Michelle is, in fact, pregnant!

"It is true, Michelle is expecting #17 July 27th, 2007," said Jim Bob in an email to Blogging Baby. What wonderful news for this family...

11. Must be nice
to have someone else footing the bills. I've seen them on TLC :puke: they got a big ole house built for them. I doubt that they popped in a nickle of their own.

4. Tell me about it....
My youngest is two (and a girl - Lordy! how it's hard not to buy clothes left and right, especially since the first was a boy) and I'm just waiting anxiously for her to be potty trained. But, as I learned with my son, you trade up on the diapers for something else. I am thankful that his elementary school is now requiring uniforms, there aren't any battles with name brands as of yet.

9. I wonder if any of the kids are special needs
The older a mother is when she is pregnant the greater the chance to have a special needs child. Also, she doesn't seem to take any time off between kids, I cannot imagine her body having time to replenish after each birth.

I'll bet the older kids do a lot of work around the home. I worked with a woman who came from a family of 13. She started planning and preparing meals at eight. She was one of the older kids and of course there were a bunch under her. Once she turned 18 she left her family and moved to St Louis and went wild.
