If you love incredible live music & live near Chicago read this post!
Friday night at 7:30 the Cubby Bear presents BX3. You've heard of G3, now check out the bass version!

BX3 is a group comprised of 3 of the most talented bassists around, Stu Hamm, Billy Sheehan and Jeff Berlin. Between them they have accola... Geez, I'll just cut this off their website

Stu Hamm's Bass version of the highly successful G3, features Billy Sheehan, Jeff Berlin, and himself. Each presenting their expertise and brilliance that made them all household names to every serious bassist and fans of great musicianship across the world. Between these three bassists they possess accolades that are almost innumerable, including Best Rock Bass Player 7 times in Guitar Player, and #1 Bassist awards in readers polls in the US, Germany, Japan, Korea, Italy, and many other countries.

http://bx3tour.com/ There are links to the individual players with audio and video clips.

For the serious listener this is the show of a lifetime, in a venue small enough to actually talk and hang around with the musicians.

These guys have played with Eddie VanHalen, Steve Vai, G3, Mr. Big, David Lee Roth Billy Cobham, John McLaughlin, Jermaine Jackson, Issac Hayes, Bill Bruford, Yes, Allan Holdsworth, Toots Thielemans, Larry Coryell, David Liebman, Arturo Sandoval, Michael and Randy Brecker, Mike Stern and Bill Frisell, Pat Metheny, Van Halen, Rush, Bill Evans, Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke and last but not least Paul Gilbert.

This one gets my DU seal of approval. Hope to see you there!

I saw this tour (at Martyrs) about a year ago and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen in my 35 years of concert going.
Bring as many of your friends as possible, especially if they are fans of guitar ala Steve Vai or Joe Satriani and the like.

Jazz, Rock, Jass Fusion, and a surprise at the end you will never forget!

6. Hopefully they will come back!
I thought that for sure I was seeing the last show of BX3 a year ago. They surprised the heck out of me.

I believe they are doing it for the love of the music, not the money, because the venues are so small.

8. One more kick for some great music in Chicago Friday night
I have found out there are 2 shows at the cubby bear Friday. BX3 is playing the first show, starting at 7:30. Red wanting Blue will then play from 10:30 until closing I guess.

Hope to see you at the show,

unless you live in another city!

Wow, what a great show. Words fail me. Unless you have seen who may be the BEST LIVING PLAYER IN THE WORLD you will not understand. It's like listening to Itzak Pearlman live from the first row then speaking with him after the show!!!!

I cannot express how great this show was. Go see it if you can!

I know you cannot make a horse drink, but if I can at least lead you to the water!!! DRINK!!!

That is all I have to say. You will only understand if you see... Maybe if you ask I might put up some video...
