Tyler got his first "tooth fairy" visit this morning.
He got a dollar.

We were bowling against his parents' team tonight and he couldn't restrain himself...we all had to see the empty space where the tooth had been and he waved the dollar at us proudly..

The kids play video games and buy junk from machines while the parents schmooze and bowl, so when Tyler's dollar was gone, no one was surprised, and they gave him other dollars.

Midway through the night, the lady at the desk started calling ticket numbers.

There was a raffle tonight on valentine baskets with candy, and other "lady" goodies.

When the last number was called, Tyler went up to his dad and said..

"Shh Dad, don't let Mom hear.. I bought a ticket, so now I get to go pick out a basket for her, right?"..

He did not have a winning number, but at 6, he assumed that when he bought the ticket, all he had to do was to pick out the basket he wanted..

dad explained it to him, and gave him back his dollar.. and he went off to play with the other kids.

His Mom got a tear in her eye over the ordeal and we all had a laugh at the little guy for gambling away his first Tooth Fairy money :)
