Post your all-time favorite album covers.
Here's a few of mine.

Actually, any of the late 80's to early 90's Sub-Pop single covers. This is just a representation of one of the better ones.

24. The Good Rats are one of my "Valentine's" very favorites.
They used to play here in Rochester in the mid-70's, and he saw them, live, many times.:hi:

27. They're a lot of fun...
They still get together once in a while (every couple of years or so). We saw them about this time two years ago.

My wife does a lot of work with Joe Franco, the drummer. He runs a recoding studio in NYC now.

4. More:

Not very good for a Melvins album, but Frank Kozik's cover art is the shit.

When you saw Raymond Pettibon's artwork, you knew it was an SST album:

5. Two of my favorites...

Dylan has a lot of props in this one, designed, IMO, to tell his critics: "I'm going to play the music I want to play (searing rock), not what you think I should play (folky-protest)."

Love the album, love the photo. RIP, Duane and Berry.

I like the sparseness. Air's best recording, IMHO.

Its covers like this that built a mythology around these guys.

Over-Nite-Sensation...

I'm The Slime

I am gross and perverted
I'm obsessed 'n deranged
I have existed for years
But very little has changed
I'm the tool of the Government
And industry too
For I am destined to rule
And regulate you

I may be vile and pernicious
But you can't look away
I make you think I'm delicious
With the stuff that I say
I'm the best you can get
Have you guessed me yet?
I'm the slime oozin' out
From your TV set

You will obey me while I lead you
And eat the garbage that I feed you
Until the day that we don't need you
Don't go for help . . . no one will heed you
Your mind is totally controlled
It has been stuffed into my mold
And you will do as you are told
Until the rights to you are sold

That's right, folks . . .
Don't touch that dial

Well, I am the slime from your video
Oozin' along on your livin' room floor

I am the slime from your video
Can't stop the slime, people, lookit me go

I am the slime from your video
Oozin' along on your livin' room floor

I am the slime from your video
Can't stop the slime, people, lookit me go
