3. Well, it depends on the cleaner.

1/4 tsp of lemon-scented Ajax scouring creme cleanser does wonders to keep the avocado from browning. But it should be a level 1/4 tsp - if you overdo it, it can impart an unpleasant graininess.

I'll make no excuses for bad tomatoes. If one lives in an area where the winter tomatoes are pale or otherwise uncceptable, one should spring the extra buck for the hydroponic, no question.
