Freaking out!

As I type this my husband, Zodiak Ironfist, is in with his committee for his defense. I got to watch his one hour seminar first, but then they kicked everyone out. This is it. This is what we have been working so hard for. This is why we moved 1500 miles away from our family and friends. I'm so freaked out. so much is going to change, but mostly we are going to have to pay out the nose for student loans. I'm sure he'll be fine and they will sign everything and by this afternoon he will technically be a PhD. I'm so proud of him and so nervous for him at the same time.

Thanks everyone for keeping Venus sane while I went through the grilling. It is harder on her than me. For me, it was a whirlwind that ended all too quickly. For her, it must have been torture to be uncertan of our future.

My great,great grandfather classified many specimens from Suriname back in the early 1800's.
