Poll question: IS LOST LOST?
Edited on Fri Feb-16-07 12:22 PM by Liberalynn
According to the Associated Press carried on MSN, Lost ratings for Wednesday hit a record low. So where do you stand on the show?

I'm in the frustrated crowd. I hated the Other's storyline and didn't care for the tailies last season either. I also am tired of the mind games. I can see leaving some of the main mysteries unanswered, but they just have too many going, and nothing ever gets solved. JMHO. I have to admit, I'm done.

2. It hasn't made me cry in a long time
First season I was bawling every other episode - now, not so much.

3. I watched the first few episodes...
and I figured it was another Twin Peaks.

Some guy set up some interesting character in an interesting setting with an interesting mystery.

But he had no idea what it all meant. So he just made shit up as he went along.

13. I watched the first couple of seasons
Edited on Sat Feb-17-07 07:34 PM by Liberalynn
but I've lost a lot of faith and I think you've summed up my issue with it to. Good premise and good cast of characters, but as a viewer I felt like I was just being led down the garden path. It use to seem that we viewers could try to figure out what the over all mystery was through clues each week which I enjoyed. Now I'm coming to believe that there is no grand scheme to solve. IMHO too I think the writers really have no master plan and that is the real reason they don't reveal even the minutest pieces of the mystery. It seems lik they just keep throwing things out there to see if they stick and stringing us along in the meantime. JMHO. I felt too manipulated so I quit watching. JMHO

I also miss seing the original gang we stared out with and their interaction. I love Sawyer, and like Kate, and Jack but I also liked the rest of the gang especially Hurley, Charlie, and Claire. I can't stand the "Others" and have no interest in them.

6. If they would film enough shows for an entire season....
instead of going months between episodes, people would keep their interest. The show is good but do they really expect to keep their viewership when they either take months off in the beginning of a season or, like last season, have every other episode be a rerun? People end up finding other shows to watch and forget about LOST. It's no wonder the viewership is at an all time low.

7. I used to love it...
...but I've been tremendously disappointed this season. The huge several month long break in the middle of the season didn't help, but also I have no idea what's going on with the other people besides Jack, Sawyer, and Kate. All the mystery has been lifted from the Others, and frankly, they bore me. The last few episodes have done nothing to actually advance the plot and tell you what the interesting characters (Locke, Hurley, Said, etc.) are doing. They really need to go ahead and wrap up the series...

In the mean time I'm enjoying Heroes. :-)

8. I'm in for the long haul.
I'm in for the long haul. As long as it stays within the adequate to above range on my enjoy-o-meter, I'll keep watching the show.

I was a wee bit disappointed with the first half of this season, but last week's episode had me in the "Wow! Zone" for the entire hour. :wow:

What I'm really ready for, is more storyline dealing with Locke, Claire, Sayid & Hurley (my fav). I've a feeling that it'll happen in the next two-three weeks.

Besides Lost and The Office, I really hate TV's current lineups though-- too many 'Worlds Most Extreme Nanny Survivalists'. I just had to say that...

9. I don't give much credence to this alleged 'ratings slide.'
It was Valentine's day. I'm pretty sure viewership was lower all over as Americans were dragged, willingly and otherwise to restaurants, movies, and other romantic venues for an evening. Let's just see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

10. Not for me since Wednesday's episode
This last show, I thought, was one of the best ever. I will be anxiously awaiting future episodes.

11. Bwahahahaha
The J.J. Abrams Syndrome. I had it with Alias after season two, which is why I never even started watching Lost, the mistress and now 2nd wife.

Now I've totally figured out what's going on and I want to see it play out.
