Lack of Planning: Straight from the Archives

Years ago I used to call in a company called Cutler Hammer. They were bought at some point by another company called Eaton Corp. Eaton, in turn, purchased a part of Westinghouse Corp. located in Beaver County Pennsylvania.

On the first day under the new configuration, I must have been the first person to call and reach the receptionist. The phone picked up and this incredibly cheery voice greeted me with:

"Good Morning! Eaton Beaver!"

I kid you not. I was gasping for air from laughing so hard I had to hang up and call back.
