I am in school, 12 credits from finishing.

I wrote a paper based on some network experience I had in NOLA, which is new and atypical. Since I now live in Charlotte, NC -- why would I have extensive knowledge of the Morial Convention Centers IT department... my instructor, the head of the IT department to boot, accused me of plagiarism. I am awaiting the official detector ruling.

I am confident, they are my words and concepts, but it was a really shitty day.

I work lots of different jobs, and this afternoon was my Mental Health Association gig. I'm working on a New York State Arts Council grant, so I'm just temporary. Today was very good, but last week was tough. The people I'm working with range from run of the mill depressives to schizophrenics, and everything in between. I facilitate an art class for them. Today was very, very good. Last Friday it felt heavy and daunting and overwhelming. I have anxiety and depression, myself, so last week I came home feeling pretty low.

Just thought I'd share.

I have anxiety and depression and am dealing with a lot of personal life stress that isn't helping, but if I don't deal with it then I'm screwing myself even worse.

So, heavy and daunting is how it has come down towards the end of the day.

I hate seeing people I know here having hard times. We all do.

The internets are weird. We care about people we may never meet face to face. We are probably no more powerless to "help" someone online resolve a personal crisis than we are to help those IRL resolve personal crises. However, IRL we can at least cater to the illusion of power. Online it just feels like it is... sad and all one can do is tell people they care about them.
