I walked 17 miles today -- on purpose!
I'm training for the Big Sur Marathon -- well, not the marathon, I'm not that crazy; it's a 21-mile walk along the Marathon route.

I did a long walk today with 5 other women, for training. And sorry to make you snowed-in people feel bad, but it was an absolutely gorgeous sunny day; we walked along the coast (not on the sand, but on roads by the beach) and there were surfers, swimmers, families, frisbee players, frolickers, dogs...

I live in paradise, and I am very grateful.

But I haven't been training as much as I should, and now I HURT. Took an Ibuprofen, but I'm sore sore sore. I stretched, drank a lot of water, did the right things.

Bet I'll feel even wrose when I wake up tomorrow...

1. Congratulations! Er, um... well, not on the being in pain part, of course.
Have fun with the walk!

2. Yur nuts, but
good wishes, and don't worry about the cramps. They're just complaining about having to do their jobs.

3. My husband tells me "This is the good kind of pain"
And he's right...it feels good, even when it feels bad.

I'm no exercise junkie, but I love walking. Good for the heart, spirit and body.
