Anyone had any luck with democraticsingles.net or other similar sites?
I've been away from dating for quite awhile and want to get back out there, but I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with liberal-/progressive-centric dating sites. I figure if nothing else it'll be easier if I don't have to screen out the people who aren't interested in a low-key, agnostic, liberal vegetarian.

Any thoughts/experiences/helpful tips/alternative sites are welcome. :)

1. Nope.
I should see if my account is still active; and assuming the string of e-mails between one hopeful and I is still there... that was fun...

2. When I looked at it, all the entries had not been on-line in months and months. I've been trying
eHarmoney with some success.

3. Dang.
Maybe I'll just try one of the more conventional sites and mention (as politely as I can) that I'm not the least bit interested in dating a conservative.

Thanks for the responses, though. :)

9. I did all right on match.com
I met a man who I've been seeing for 10 months. He's a great guy, but I'm getting impatient with how slow it's moving, so I may end up moving on, I don't know. I dated a few other guys from the site as well; nothing came of it, but they were nice guys and I had some good times. My cousin met a man on the site who she will be marrying this year.

4. You ought to try something different
Like a foreign dating website.

I had great success there and all the women are leftists!

6. No. There aren't enough people on them
At least in my area. But I haven't had much luck with the big ones either, Match.com and Yahoo. While guys will view my ad, they will NEVER leave a message. And of course both parties have to be paid members in order to speak with each other so that may be why. The whole online thing is pretty boring these days. Not much going on (at least for me).

8. I developed a wild hair to see if there was life online....
On one site, I snared a guy with a mullet, another guy who obviously was bombed when he wrote, and the frosting on the cake was a guy who was into colonics and wanted to go tandem. I couldn't stop howling for an hour and fully expected the police at my door.

On match.com, I became disturbed when I read how they automatically renew your membership time after
time, I developed cold feet.

So, I found Plentyoffish.com which is totally free. So far I have had 40 or more men view my picture and profile and not one msg. Yes, I did mention I was a Democrat and would want the same.

10. When asked to tell about themselves, most of the men on Dem Singles
wrote a paragraph about how much they hated Bush. Well, duh, I'd be surprised if a Bush fan put up a profile on Democratic Singles. I assume they're unhappy with Bush--I want to know what THEY are like as a person, not as a representative of a politlca position.
