3. 7 brides is a pretty crappy muscial
and Moulin Rouge is a geat musical.

but this is neither of those.

It has an overture.

but it's not the best musical.

Yes, it's the King and I.

Rita Moreno was featured in both King and West Side Story. Marnie Nixon sang the lead roles in both movies. And I saw Yul Brynner on Broadway in his last turn as the King in 1978.

In the third act, when he asks her about dancing, and he places his hand on her waist and the orchestra swells and they waltz to "Shall We Dance"....

well, there's no greater moment in movie history.
