Does anyone know what the problem could be when you...
put software in your disk drive with no response?

1. Can you see it
when you look at the drive (Windows Explorer, or Mac Finder window)? There might be a readme file that tells you how to get it started when it doesn't start on its own ... or just look for an executable file and click on it.

2. Nothing shows on the screen...
after I put in the disk...should I go into the control panel or where do I look for the executable file I am not that computer saavy...Does anyone else have any ideas...

3. go to "My Computer"
and open the drive in question - look for either an exe file, or a 'readme' file.

Do you hear the disk drive spinning?

Double-click on My Computer on the desktop, or choose My Computer from the Start Menu and see if the disk is shown.

Double click on My Computer and see if a volume is mounted.?

8. what response are you expecting?
Is the software supposed to install itself? Sometimes things that are supposed to launch automatically need to be manually clicked on. Alternatively you can eject it and put it back in. Sometimes the computer doesn't read the drive right away.
