I'm having a slightly stressful week, between being deluged with homework and *stuff* for classes, and preparing to close on our house next Monday and move. I've been forgetting things constantly, and feeling rather overwhelmed and incompetent.

Yesterday, I was in one of my professor's offices when another member of the department popped in. My professor introduced me to her coworker and said, "Lara is one of the smartest students I've ever had." I was so flattered. She's not typically very overt in her compliments, and she's been teaching for about 20 years. It was a really nice ego stroke, and I really needed it this week!

Also, in my infinite genius, I tripped over one of the steps on my way out of school and fell down several stairs. It doesn't count, however, because no one saw me.
