Geez... week after week we try Gamestop, Toys R Us, Circuit City. Week after week we're sent away, Wiiless and forlorn.

1. Check out some of the smaller towns

a guy I worked with drove 2 hours to a wal-mart (eww!) in a small town, they had 3 in stock. I would call first, though.

just to see how all three were selling

promised one to my son for his november birthday. he has settled down about it, but it was touch and go for a while there. and he is 21!

10. we're in N. Texas and just before X-mas

had resigned ourselves to the fact that our son would not have a Wii for months. We had been checking all of the big places as you mentioned and one day decided to stop in to a local shop that is family owned. he still had two pre-orders he had not filled but offered to put us on a list and would call us as soon as he had one. We ended up buying a gift card from him so that our son would be able to open a gift on x-mas morning. It took about a month because he's a small shop he was only getting one at a time but we finally got ours. It is well worth the wait. I am not a gamer at all but I love playing Wii sports with the kids.
