Favorite black and white picture film?
Copycat thread, so it belongs here and not under "photography." LynneSin asked our favorite B&W film and this is what I thought she meant before I read the post.

3. Ilford Delta 100 35mm,...
...although the 400 is about as good and is more versatile. Likewise the XP2 has a nice tonal range and can be printed by a drugstore lab. Its forgiving nature makes it a good choice for automatic cameras like my Minolta Weathermatic.

4. Agfapan or T-Max
Depends on what I'm shooting. IMHO, there is no B/W film better than Agfapan 25 for doing landscapes. The grain and tone of the film is unbeatable. For most other B/W work, I use T-Max. I think I still have 5-6 rolls of Fuji Neopan in the freezer too. While it works well for some things, it's a bit grainy for my tastes.

This reminds me that I need to order some more Agfapan rolls. Agfa has eliminated pretty much everything except the 35mm rolls already, and the last I heard even that will be headed for extinction soon. It's a shame, but I have a big freezer :)
