So i am coming home from work yesterday evening and this guys comes up to me and taps me on my shoulder and say

"what are you listening to"

and i say : "middle eastern music"

and he says : "i dont know that"

and i say "you dont have to, its my music"

and he says " do you have a boyfriend"

and i say " no, i have a girlfriend"

and he says " are you faithful?"

and i say " YES i am"

so he says " thats immoral. everybody says so"

and i say "i think bigotry and stupidity is immoral and yet you exist"

this conversation goes on loudly and in this pattern for a while on the train.

finally i get off on my subway stop " and he yells "STOP DOING IMMORAL THINGS'

and i flik him off.

There were three, the IRT, the IND, and the BMT. I remember seeing old signs with those designations when I first went to the city and it was long after they were official called by those names. MY friends who grew up in the city knew what the names meant!

I don't know much about the New York subway, so don't laugh; but wasn't there a transit cop or somebody you could report the guy to? I ran into some trouble on the London Underground once, and the transit cops were all OVER the guy before you could blink.
