THE New South Wales Liberal Party today dumped its state election candidate for the central coast seat of Wyong after a details emerged of a smutty joke text message he sent to friends.

Brenton Pavier was disendorsed as Liberal candidate for the Labor seat after party leader Peter Debnam became aware of the text message.

The message, which Mr Pavier sent to friends around Christmas said: "The video you have ordered about how to have sex with a goat has now arrived," Fairfax reported.

Mr Pavier was replaced as Liberal candidate for Wyong by Ben Morton, who ran for the seat, which Labor holds by a 12.4 (per cent margin, at the 2003 election.

Mr Debnam tonight said Mr Pavier's decision to send the text message had made him an inappropriate person to be a Liberal candidate.
