I sure as hell don't. As my uncle Tommy used to say "Stick a bone up my ass. The dog will bury me".

10. I agree...
My mom freaked when I told her I wanted to be cremated and scattered on the wind. I just don't understand why. She'll probably be long dead by the time I kick it.

28. When Kollyforniya started the 'donor' thing
on driver's licenses — or the first time I was aware of it, anyway (I was about 20) — on the form where it asks which organs you want to donate, I wrote something like, "Take anything you need, as long as I'm finished with it."

The DMV clerk laughed and said she'd never heard that one before.

48. Me too. I can give a flying you-know-what.
The researchers can laugh at my body, which will hopefully be very old and presumably very saggy and wrinkly ... As long as it's useful for something, they may as well have it.

I don't want any viewings, visitation or a funeral. I just want my friends to get together, listen to good music, drink good wine and share good memories. I do want my ashes spread somewhere good, but mostly as a treat for the person doing the spreading.

13. i don't know why but, yeah i do care--
i used to not. but, lately when i think about it especially since i have started working in an ER and actually being around some dead bodies.

i don't want anybody touching my body.

i plan to walk out into the woods and lie down under this oak tree that i have found and i just want to let nature take its course from there. if its the buzzards then so be it.

of course i know that things don't always go according to plan so yes, i am an organ donor.

i am claustrophobic and don't want to be buried and here lately i am not comfortable with the thought of cremation.

36. I don't know anymore.
I used to not care but lately I'm not so sure. There is a cemetery where my parents are buried that I can trace my family back 6 generations by walking to the back of the cemetery. Even though its far away and I don't get there often I get some comfort out of knowing they are all there together. There's no plots available or else I would consider getting one. At this point I have no plans.

39. I do! After I donate my organs (which I think we all should do, but that
is another subject), I want to be buried with my brother. Or my husband. When my brother died, my dad bought 5 plots beside him. So, if I die early, I want to be by him (just in case my husband remarries). But if my husband and I die of old age, I want to be buried by him.

I would like to go to my grave unmolested, literally. I have a fear of being violated even in death by some redneck necrophiliac inbred funeral home owner's son or something. I don't want to be whatever it is'd they do when they take your organs out and I want to be cremated. I would prefer to die in an explosion so there is nothing left of me for people to mess with anyway.

46. I've already decided to be cremated
strictly for practical reasons- I can't donate my organs because the arthritis meds I'm on have screwed my system up for life. Also, there's just one space left in our family plot, and my sister and I have agreed to share it- cremation makes that arrangement sensible and practical.

I'll be elsewhere, so my remains don't really matter. I'll have no use for them.

i don't like fuss and big "events" like weddings, etc, i have told my husband i don't want my money buried in the ground or on a big tacky funeral when the money could be spent on the living

the cheapest cremation and a cardboard box is fine with me, i won't be there

i'm not new orleans born even tho i've lived here for decades, the jazz funeral idea is fine for others, but it is not right for me or my background

Sell off/donate the spare parts and chuck the rest, be it burn, bury, or stuff. I will be eternally pissed if my family were dumb enough to be suckered by the funeral hawkers, as I've expressly told them I would be.

I could be stuffed and made into a planter, that would be cool. Or I could be posed as a lawn jockey, or a waiter holding a tray for people to put their business cards on in the foyer (Snoop uses his to hold "the chronic" so people can partake upon entering). Shit, now I want to be stuffed!

69. I have already informed my family
that I want to be cremated. Then my ashes are to be taken to the origin of one of the major rivers in the U.S. (still to be decided) and dumped in. Being a biologist, my remains will become part of the food chain that will eventually (a long time) take me all over the world. That way, my son will know that every living animal and plant will have a little bit of me.

Cheesy, I know. :silly:
