I'm the caretaker of my mother, she's going blind
She suffers from a retinal occlusion and her prognosis for sight isn't good. She doesn't know and I'm trying to prepare her for this possible loss.
I have some questions, I'd appreciate a thoughtful answer:
Is there a good phone on the market that is voice activated and won't cost me an arm and a leg?
Has anyone had this experience before? Is there anything I can do to make her transition into blindness easier?

I used to post here often for fun, but my mother's care has become more important...I've been MIA for a long time.
Sometimes I really miss the fun the DU Lounge can provide.

1. I would check with your local
prevent blindness assc.

http://www.preventblindness.org/

They may be able to help with low vision aids and other things.

PM me if you would like more info.
