Teen Girls Under House Arrest After Mistreating Friend During Sleepover
<snip>

INVERNESS, Fla. -- Two Inverness girls are accused of locking a friend in a bedroom and putting itching powder on her face during a sleepover.

Now the girls, ages 13 and 15, face false imprisonment charges, as well as other misdemeanor charges that have not been released because the two are juveniles.

Citrus County police said the girls invited their friend to sleep over Sunday, but they were seeking revenge because they suspected her of cheating on her boyfriend, something the girls didn't agree with.

Police reports said they locked their friend in a bedroom, made her partially undress in a bathroom and put some itching powder on her face. They also videotaped it all and posted it on the social networking site MySpace.

The victim did not require medical attention. Her mother called police after the sleepover.

The two girls were released to the custody of their parents and are under house arrest.

3. Wow, wonder if they'd get the chair if they'd stuck her hand in warm water while she was asleep
It was so much easier being a kid in the 70s.

4. If every teenaged girl got arrested for being mean...
there wouldn't be many left on the streets. My personal experience has been that little girls...up through teenagers...can be the meanest, most vindictive creatures ever conceived.

Except me, of course. I've always been an angel.

:P

9. Among each other.
The way I see them treat the other girls that they call their 'friends'...it scares me. And I should qualify it by saying that not every little girl is like that.

But I'm disturbed by how many of them are. It just makes me sad.

11. society still doesn't really want to admit that little girls......
can be nasty at times, but pretends that girls' violence is that more vicious and mean than boys.

Violence is violence, I don't think girls are more vicious than boys, I just think their violence is more creative.

It's almost like it's politically correct in a way to say that girls are more vicious than boys. I don't think the crime statistics bear that out.

12. I'm talking vicious...not violent.
Most of the little girls I've known would hesitate to throw a punch or physically strike out (not all of them, but most)...but the pranks and barbs and hurtful words and nasty little tricks and manipulations...

Vicious.

14. they would hesitate to act physically so they are doing......
the next best thing......making it personal.

Yes, and little boys can also be vicious, doing physically disruptive things.

I guess people find their own ways at acting out.

15. I know I'm generalizing, but I've noticed that
Often, girls are less physical when it comes to nasty behavior...and they can hold grudges into adulthood. A perceived slight on the playground in kindergarten can still haunt a girl in high school.

Boys will frequently be more physical...but they get 'over it' more quickly. They can fight over the sandbox in the morning, punch or shove each other, and then be pals again after lunch.

Disclaimer: Again...this is just my observation and not intended to be a commentary on the entire human race.

18. They were supporting Traditional Values...
...which should be enough to get them acquitted in Florida (or, if not, win them a pardon from Jebby).

And at least they were taking action against heterosexual misbehavior, as opposed to those who only find gay and lesbian activity worthy of condemnation. Why, that's almost liberal! :sarcasm:

17. Videotaping it probably wasn't such a good idea
I don't think there would've been evidence for criminal charges without the video tape.
