7. Monk is a good show
It always makes me laugh. I have seen CSI every night this week and tonight is the first CSI-less one I've had. I might have withdrawal. Wait, I think Cops comes on on Court tv and then that Dr. Somebody, medical examiner show with the woman ME who does autopsies right on camera.

:woohoo:

11. crap
there is some stupid high-speed pursuit show on court tv. I loathe those shows. I hate the way they sensationalize high speed pursuits. I love normal Cops, except when they do drug deal stings and prostitution stings. I don't agree with high speed pursuits most of the time. "Contact" with Jodie Foster is on but that is a really heavy movie and a little bit preachy. Blergh...

23. the concept is good
she is an atheist and they somehow break through to another dimension, proving there is one. However it equates that dimension to Christian 'heaven' or something and that is where it lost me...the spiritual side they run into they seem to liken to traditional religion. But it is a great movie and of course Jodie Foster is brilliant as usual.

13. It's a show about a super-observant slacker who is posing as a psychic
and running a detective agency. Sean, the fake psychic, is really solving the cases because he sees the clues that other people aren't and claiming he's having visions. He drags his best friend Gus, who really just wants to be left alone to work his day job as a pharmaceutical rep, on his cases. Meanwhile Sean's flirting with one of the detectives who always seems to be assigned to his cases while confounding the attempts of her partner to prove that Sean isn't psychic.

15. Monk and Psych make my Friday night.
It's nice to see something a bit different and quirky done with the stale old detective show genre. Neither of these shows take themselves seriously, which is refreshing.

26. It's a show about an FBI agent with a math whiz brother who helps
him solve cases using math. I know that sounds lame, but it's a great show. Here's a link to the show site. It's on CBS at 10:00 on Fridays.

Andrea died? I closely followed the earlier episodes of the show but the stupid channel it was on here in Australia kept fiddling about with the timing of the show and I gave up trying to figure out when it was on. Andrea was probably my favorite character on the show -always so caring and supportive and the ideal friend. I didn't know she was no longer on the show:cry:

37. I just have to say that "The Gwen Araujo Story" was devastating
as I knew it would be, and that Mercedes Ruehl did an amazing job as the mother, as she always does. I cried about 5 times watching that. At the end the priest was saying that they should have a closed casket service because of the protests and everything and that he felt they were 'in over their heads' and the mother character responds "Gwen was in over her head the moment she was born, you can take it for a couple of hours." That really broke me up. It was a very well done movie.

Here is a little info and a link

"Gwen Amber Rose Araujo (February 24, 1985 – October 4, 2002, née Edward Araujo, Jr.) was a transgendered teenager who died during or shortly after being attacked by multiple individuals. The events leading up to Araujo's death were the subject of a pair of criminal trials in which it was alleged that the attackers were angered by the discovery that Araujo — who, at the time, was living as female — was biologically male."
