45. I adopted the whole family.
The two at the top of the first picture are the Mom and Dad. (The white long haired one is momma aka Angel). I adopted her, her boyfriend Buddy and their girl pup Peedee when my neighbors house burned down and they couldn't take them to an apartment in town.(they rented the home and it wasn't rebuilt) As luck would have it both the girls were pregnant but only had three survive.
I went from no dogs to six in a matter of weeks. This was in the fall of 2003 and I haven't regretted one minute of it, although there have been some substantial vet bills. I would spend everything I had if needed though, they have been the best companions a guy could ask for.

23. Here are my babies.
Zeke (the Golden) is about 6 1/2. Thats his big sister Kelsey lying next to him.

She is (estimating) 9 years old. She hitchhiked home under the hood of my dads car. She was a scrappy little mess of a kitten, but she has turned out to be the sweetest cat ever. And yes, her ears are chewed up. Thats the way we found her. Tiny little thing.

I cant say enough about Zeke. I truly understand now, why people treat their pets like kids. He is my baby. He has such an amazing range of emotions that you can read on his face. And I swear the vocalizations he makes...you expect him to start talking at any time.

And he thinks he's still a puppy (an 90lb puppy!).

Every morning when my S.O. gets out of bed, Zeke quickly gets in his place, lays his head on the pillow, and spoons me! LOL

(In this case, he was doing it to TJ and I took the pic)

When I had the flu, I got up for a drink and when I came back he had stolen my spot. So I covered him up and he just layed there.

OK..Ok...I'm sorry for the photo overload.

Beautiful babies. I have a cat like yours, with the chewed-up ears. My vet said one was because of a bad mite infestation he had as a kitten, the other was because of frostbite.

I'm a black cat fanatic - I've had them in my life for 25 years - it's something about the way their eyes dominate their faces. :)

108. funny thing is, Biju is more American than most of the homegrowns I know
I was born in America but grew up in both England and America because my military dad married an English gal.

You would have laughed at me and Biju - after it got going it went like this:

ME: BUT, BUT, BUT....

BIJU: NO, NO, NO!!!! :o

still if someone says "its not in my culture" you should probably believe them.
