What a shitty job market
I'm recently laid off (but hey the economy is doing well right ) and I'm searching the job market now of course and 7 out of 10 jobs are fracking defense contractors!

Shit!

1. I won't work for oil, pharma or a defense contractor
Other than that, I've applied for about 750 jobs in the last two years.

Still unemployed.

3. so insurance, banking and tobacco
are still okay? :hide: What can I say? I quit my job for DOD 20 years ago and have since worked for Citibank and Phillip Morris (via Kraft via a temp service, but still). That's alot of job applications though. Meanwhile, how can you stay alive with 'nothing'?

4. I'm not qualified to work in the financial sector
but now that you mention it, I have refused opportunities to apply for financial services sales and marketing positions. Tobacco is not an option, as there are no tobacco companies where I live. I wouldn't work for them either if they were.

No wonder I'm broke.

2. You only need one job
It helps to have more options of course.
What skills and experience do you have? What jobs would you prefer?
