So I'm reading Flair's biography. It's pretty awesome, very entertaining. And, I'm damn happy Mr. Perfect is going into the WWE HOF. I patterned most of my life after Perfect. :)

4. Curt deserves it

He cut the best promos in the business when he was in his prime in the WWF; it's a crime he never got the WWF Championship strap...

5. He came along at a tough time

Hogan and Savage owned that thing for a while, then Vince tried to make the Ultimate Warrior into the next big thing, and he flamed out. Then the first Iraq War broke out and Sgt. Slaughter got the belt as an Iraqi sympathizer because they wanted to build up a patriotic thing with him vs Hogan. Flair showed up and Hennig seriously hurt his back. Vince was still stuck in that big man era, with Yokuzuna and those guys too. Bret Hart was the only smaller guy who really broke into that until Shawn Michaels came along and hit his stride. If Hennig had hit his prime around the same time as guys like Benoit and Eddie he would have held it. As it turned out he got ignored. I always thought Hennig and Rick Rude were two guys who deserved a title run, but never got one.

7. that effing clip is great!

Oh yeah, Jake was a great performer. Fantastic. He had psychology down so perfectly, I loved his interviews. Jake would say some dark outlandish shit, it's not hard to figure out where he got that stuff given his personal troubles. I own the WWE dvd of his, man, that guy is a natural storyteller. The whole thing is riveting, that first half hour is so sad when he talks about his family, wow. I still cannot believe he pulled out a King Cobra on the Macho Man. That Randy Savage let that thing gnaw on him is simply unbelievable.

I always liked Ricky Steamboat too. He got a short title run in WCW, but never one the big one in the WWE. He was always worthy I felt.
