Trying to outwit a bird...................

My tiel Murphee is obsessed still with sitting on her eggs.

Trying to bribe her to get off the eggs, and come out of her cage.

Honey stick didn't work, Birdie "Bananas" didn't, Birdie "Noodles" didn't.....

Pizza was close.

I give up. :D

3. it's a tiel thing, momma DON'T know best
some female cockatiels will keep laying eggs until they have destroyed their own bones by stripping them of calcium and then of course they die

it's a real compulsion and quite dangerous

in extreme cases it has to be treated by hysterectomy (spelling?) which is a serious risk to a bird and she might not live through the surgery

this is why it's best to try to play mind games and outwit the bird

with tiels it can be VERY tough

most parrots have a reasonable IQ and can be reasoned with, tiels are sweet but a little bit not so smart and operate by pure instinct, so if they have a compulsion it's hard to talk them out of it

i'll wish the OP luck, this is a tough one
