look at it really is. I was disappointed when I found out Audry Hepburn did not do her own singing - but oh well....

1. I think when they restored it a couple of years back...
They put as much of her singing back in as they could.

3. There was a whole special dedicated to the restoration process...
If I remember correctly even the master was in terrible shape.

They revived most of the color using computers. It had really suffered. Much more vibrant now, especially
the scene in the white room at the Doctor's Mom's house.

4. Loved the play, even directed it once. Not a fan of the movie.

5. I saw a production of it years ago with Richard Chamberlain playing the lead
They did a great job of it.

6. I don't have cable but I rented the DVD from the library
a few weeks back and watched it for the billionth time. :hi: I wasn't that disappointed when I found out Marnie Nixon subbed for her singing, but I do think it's terrible it got so many Oscar nods except for her performance.
I'm a big Audrey Hepburn fan.

7. I adore that movie. She was fantastic in it.
I love musicals in general. Sound of Music was the first movie I ever saw at the movie theater and I still watch it all the time.
