I'm going to see if my BIL can drive us. He has 4-wheel drive, and my van has rear-wheel drive; no way in hell I'm taking that thing on the road!

Nathaniel JUST called me. His doctor got the results from his MRI yesterday. It shows a ?dark area? where the stroke occurred, which was what they expected.

The only thing that bugged me a bit in talking to him was that he suggested I bring Noel with, to pick him up. He knows the roads are really bad, and he normally wouldn't make that kind of suggestion, so I believe he's still thinking a bit fuzzy (yesterday, he told the nurse repeatedly that it's 1997, before he realized what he was saying). I know- I have to be patient, it's only been a few days, right?

I just can't wait to get him home!

9. The kids are VERY anxious to see him.

Sophie has a really ridiculous explanation of what happened to him, and it involves him being "plugged into" something, in his head.

They got to talk to him on the phone last night, and they drew pictures for him that I brought to the hospital. I got home from the hospital about midnight, and was up grading papers until 2 a.m., so I can drop them off, and skip actually going to class on Monday night.

I will definitely take pics of the house!

Sooner or later, this is all going to hit me, and I'm going to be SO tired! I think I'm still running on adrenaline (and caffeine).

There were so many cars in the ditch on the way there; I was terrified.
At one point, I tried to slow down, my brakes locked, and I ended up swerving all over the road. The whole damn car spun around, and I found myself facing the wrong way, with my front bumper about eight feet from the front bumper of a big suv (which, fortunately, had stopped).

I'm ready to be done with drama!

My Mom's bringing dinner, and I'm busy packing stuff.
I'm definitely carving out some time after the kids go to bed to snuggle on the couch with my husband, though. I can't even express how happy I am to have him back, safe at home!
